At 4:15, we arrived at our last train station, Milwaukee. It was the largest and most modern station of all.
We walked to our hotel and soon there was a window of time between rain bursts to head out and explore. It was a fairly short walk with interesting sites along the way, including rowing crews out for practice. We walked around the Historic Third Ward (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) that is in the middle of a renaissance.
We found an interesting restaurant for dinner and then, of course, we found an ice cream shop. Gotta love a place that offers an ice cream "flight".
The walk back to the hotel was particularly photogenic. Then Karen and Rodney ventured in to the Public Market for more photo ops.
Our Amtrak Train Trip was over as we flew away from Milwaukee.
Theresa and Rodney flew to Denver and Karen flew with them and then continued on to San Antonio.
We met up again 2 days later in Ridgway, Colorado for some time among the Autumn Aspens.
