Photobook in SA, TX

We repeated a long weekend at our favorite free B&B, Karen's house in San Antonio, to make another photobook. It started on Thursday when Theresa and Karen drove down from Dallas after spending time there. Rodney had been there too, earlier in the week. But that's not what this page is about. 😁 After arriving home we enjoyed dinner at Cheddar's and jumped in to start working on the book. Rodney flew in on Friday morning to join in on the photo sorting and text forming work on the book. But the big event was to come that evening.

We had chosen the dates for the weekend based on the fact that things were happening in Dallas the week before, but then found out that Sting and Billy Joel were going to be in concert in San Antonio! How fortuitous! So we bought tickets and enjoyed a musical, reminiscent evening at the Alamodome.

Sting gave a one-hour concert (Billy Joel joined him on one number in the middle of his set). There was a 30-minute intermission while they swapped out equipment, then Billy Joel played for two hours and 25 minutes straight (Sting joined him on one number in the middle of his set). It was an incredible concert. Hard to believe Billy Joel is 75 years old…his voice was as clear and strong as ever; his banter between songs was informative and fun (he even gave World Series Game 1 updates throughout). His playlist included ao many favorites from the ‘70’s and 80’s. It was an amazing evening all around!
