January 7-11, 2022 

Another photobook weekend, this time in Phoenix.  We used VRBO this time instead of Air BnB.  Theresa's plane was delayed 27 hours so she didn't arrive until Satuday night. So Rodney and Karen hung out and started sorting through photos for the photobook. 

 

We had a late dinner Friday at Chipotle, and lunch on Saturday was just whatever items we chose at Albertsons.  Then we had dinner at Bootlegger's Smokehouse ("BEEF & BREW WITH A VIEW!") before Theresa finally arrived.

 

Saturday was heads down on book work with dinner at Los Olivos Mexican Patio. Great chips with family recipe salsa, house margarita, shrimp fajitas with mushrooms, and of course avocado.

 

Monday we worked hard again but took a break to pick up various lunch items from In and Out Burger and Panera Bread. Then we headed out to Rustler’s Rooste for a fun evening! Great ambience starting with a Longhorn steer at the entrance and even a slide inside (see below for a video of Rodney sliding down)! Brisket and a Shiner Bock? Yes please! And complimentary cotton candy for dessert. That was the perfect surprise ending to our meal! Outside was a giant patio (probaby seats about 100 people!) with a beautiful view of the skyline. It really is a fun place and we quite enjoyed our evening.

 

Sunday was departure day at 4am.  Another photo book wrapped up and ordered!
