The Travelin' Trio met in Atlanta to make a Photobook of our trip to Australia and New Zealand.
July 27-30, 2018
We’ve been eating breakfast and lunch at the AirBnB but allowing ourselves fun places for dinner. Tonight we chose Ted’s Montana Grill. It wasn’t until we arrived and saw that it was located in the Turner Building that we put 2 and 2 together. This is Ted Turner’s restaurant. Our waitress gave us the history of the building: it was the first Macy’s store in the early 1900’s, it was a mall “for a hot minute”, and Ted bought it when he knew the historic building was going to be torn down if someone didn’t do anything. So the restaurant is on the first floor (very old school with high wooden booths and lots of wood paneling and the kitchen open to view), corporate offices above that and Ted lives in the penthouse.

Ted’s is just one block away from the Centennial Olympic Park so we had to check that out.

We arrived in Atlanta after early morning flights. First stop: lunch! Yelp helped us find a great spot close to the airport,
Pit Boss BBQ. The locals in line were friendly and helpful so we knew what to order when we finally got to the counter.
We rented an AirBnB for the long weekend. This “Charming Atlanta Home” was great. Strong Internet (our #1 priority); a kitchen for prepping breakfast, lunch, and snack food; three bedrooms; good A/C; and a big dining table that could double for workspace.

Now that’s the way to stock a fridge at an AirBnB!
We had to kill some time after lunch and before we could check into our AirBnB, so we went to the movies. We saw the 3-D version of "Mission Impossible: Fallout".
For dinner we had a hankering for Mexican food. We drove around a little and found Willy's. Turns out it’s a chain (and we try to avoid those and eat local when we can), but it’s only in GA. And we were hungry enough that we didn’t care. It was delicious! And portions were so generous, we had leftovers for lunch the next day!
We are working night and day on the book, but took a break to go to Passion City Church. Louie Giglio himself preached that day which was a nice bonus. Impressive church doing great work.

We did it! Close to four full days, but we culled through all our photos (and this group has a LOT of photos), wrote and edited some text, compiled everything into the Mixbooks website, and got ‘er done! And we found a 45% off coupon using Honey. Can’t wait to see it on paper!
