For 2023, the Travelin’ Trio had booked a Rick Steves’ Tour to Greece. As the time approached, circumstances led us to postpone that trip so we had to make a plan for this year. We decided to go domestic and thought a train ride would be fun. Also, if we were doing domestic, we should aim to go to Rodney’s 50th state. So after much research and conversation, we finalized a trip on Amtrak from Spokane to Milwaukee.

 

More circumstances arose that created an opportunity that we capitalized on. Rodney and Karen found a one-day photo workshop focusing on autumn colors in Colorado, and Rodney has some friends who own a cabin where the photo tour began. So we spent the weekend after the train trip in Ridgway, Colorado in luxurious accomodations with Don and Terry Bell.  What a delightful bonus!
